APX Auto is a new state-of-the-art automotive service and repair shop located in Tampa, Florida, zip code 33610. We are family owned. We have had tremendous success with our large towing company, Dr. Tow, utilizing resources from AAA. We will have a steady stream of cars & trucks coming in to us from this source. This means you will have plenty of work!

We will be opening our repair center on or around 9/21/2026.

We are aggressively seeking to fill the following positions:

“A” Master Technician

This person, who has years of experience and can perform all those duties that a technician in this position will face. This would include diagnostics, drivability issues, and everything from brakes, HVAC, alignments, suspension, light engine & transmission work, electrical, starting/charging systems, etc. You would have proper tools and equipment.

“B” Technician

This Technician would have maybe 1 – 3 years of experience and would have the appropriate collection of tools/equipment for someone in this range. You should be able to inspect, diagnose, and repair basic automotive systems, including brakes, wheels/tires, maintenance, starting/charging systems and other easier repairs. Again, certifications are desirable. But we do offer PAID TRAINING!

“C” Technician

You could be entry level or someone with limited experience. You would be required to perform routine auto maintenance, oil changes and basic repairs such as battery replacement, tire replacement including balancing, lightbulbs, etc.

Service Advisor

The ideal candidate for this position would have previous experience working with customers, explaining complex vehicle repairs in a non-threatening, and easy to understand manner. You would have to have basic automotive knowledge and can explain something like a timing belt repair (but you don’t need to know HOW to replace a timing belt). You should have an outgoing personality and be able to multi-task answering phones, talking with technicians, and meeting/greeting our customers. You hopefully are familiar with Shop Management Software. We will train you on our software.

If you have certifications including ASE, dealership, or similar certifications, we would love to speak with you immediately!
